The Role:

• providing support to a team of experienced transactional lawyers and managing components of transactions independently including due diligence projects and data rooms
• drafting and advising in relation to a wide range of commercial contracts
• advising on company law, corporate governance and company secretarial matters
• developing and promoting the firm through business development including contributing to marketing, training and knowledge sharing within the team and throughout the firm.
• working with clients across multiple jurisdictions on competition, merger, and State aid matters
• part of a team advising clients responding to enforcement action by competition authorities in the EU, UK and Ireland
• providing support to a team of experienced regulatory lawyers working on matters in highly regulated sectors including insurance, energy, transport, health, tech and fmcg
• participating in business development, networking and profile-raising activities, including contributing to marketing documentation, tenders and delivering external client compliance training.

The Candidate should have:

• strong academic qualifications and drafting, analytical and negotiation skills
• excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of multi-disciplinary teams with colleagues, clients and external advisers
• a keen commercial awareness
• be highly organised and detail oriented
• previous experience in EU law would be beneficial
