The successful Legal Executive will work directly with a Senior Litigation Partner and the Head of Projects and Consultancy to facilitate a legal service management contract to a State-body client with over 10 member law firms nation-wide.

Key Responsibilities

  • Adhere to a structure of weekly, bi-monthly and monthly legal reporting tasks for the Client.
  • Liaise with the client(s) and/or client’s 3rd party key stakeholders in relation to queries on a day-to-day basis.
  • Prepare agendas and collate meeting packs on a monthly basis – and attend monthly client meeting with the Partner.
  • Manage and coordinate FOI/PQ data requests received
  • Manage other ad hoc queries and requests received
  • Assist in the preparation and collation of briefs.
  • Carry out legal research on cases as assigned.
  • Serving/Filing proceedings in the Central Office.
  • Monitoring developments in legislation, regulation and case law (Irish and EU) relevant to the certain practice areas.
  • Facilitate Legal Audit(s).
  • Preparing and presenting client training material for case management system.
  • Legal data analytics; generating, reviewing and collating
  • General file management, document and correspondence retention and filing.
  • Provide general legal support within the Litigation Department.
  • Opportunity to manage small caseload of files under the supervision of Senior Associates.

Skills Knowledge And Expertise

  • A degree in Law or Diploma in Legal Studies (preferred), or minimum of 3-4 years’ experience in Legal Executive role or in a similar role.
  • Excellent project management and analytical skills.
  • Ability to evaluate information from a number of sources, consider effective decisions and problem solve in a time sensitive manner.
  • Ability to consider risk management for Client.
  • Experience handling multiple tasks simultaneously and with accuracy, including the ability to prioritise tasks accordingly.
  • An ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills.
  • A high level of motivation and a proven self-starter.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
