Quality Assurance Manager

Our Client, a Multinational based in North Dublin has instructed us to recruit a Quality Assurance Manager to join their team at their instrumentation manufacturing site. The successful applicant will report directly to the Head of Quality onsite and lead the Quality Assurance team.

Responsibilities:

  • Management of all Quality Assurance activities onsite supporting the manufacturing of large IVD instrumentation while sustaining a focus on the quality in the manufacture of their products and services.
  • To manage a team of Quality Assurance professionals by leading, mentoring and developing the team in managing and improving processes.
  • Maintaining a strong customer focus in order to understand customer requirements to meet their expectations and identifying any relevant KPIs for quality oversight. A good focus on complaint handling in order to achieve high customer satisfaction and retention, along with fast complaint routing.
  • Necessary to collaborate with both the production and engineering teams onsite for Quality Assurance related activities, to initiate any improvements in order to fulfil the expectations and needs of customers.
  • To create and ensure value-streams comply with QMS requirements and production targets.
  • To support QMS and Regulatory Compliance by identifying and responding to Quality problems in the production of Commercial IVDD instrumentation.
  • Lead the New Product and Process Introductions in areas such as initial manufacturing Validation and Product Stabilization.
  • Manage the Calibration and Preventative Maintenance of Manufacturing Support Equipment onsite. Also responsible for any quality aspects relating to Validated processes.
  • To support the embedding of Quality into processes and projects. Ensuring implementation and control of quality gates. Continue to initiate the improvement with employee participation and contribution in processes and projects.

Capabilities:

  • Experience working within manufacturing including production and process controls.
  • 3-5 years experience within a management or leadership role within a regulated environment.
  • Relevant Bachelor’s degree (ideally Quality, Engineering or Science).
  • Experience of process improvement techniques and a core application of FDA/ISO standards and regulations.
  • Strong ability to lead Quality process improvements, updating procedures and overseeing their implementation in order to achieve compliant and leaner processes.
  • Experience with the use of digital data analysis and measurement techniques to identify opportunities for process development.
  • Knowledge of risk processes for product and process. Including PRT, PFMEA, design risk.
  • Good ability to understand the manufacturing processes in a high complexity/low volume environment. Understanding of validation, quality control testing, CAPA system, document control system and complaint handling systems.
  • Strong organisation skills with an ability to follow assignments through to completion.
  • 5-7 years of industry experience.
  • Good understanding of Immunology, Biochemistry as well as Haematology Diagnostic Technologies would be an advantage.
