Our client, a leading international law firm located in Dublin 2, is on the lookout for a Knowledge Management Executive. The Knowledge Management team forms a critical part of the Learning and Development function. In this role you will be reporting to and supporting the Head of Knowledge Management. Salary: €35k to €45k (depending on experience)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring legal and regulatory developments, market practice developments and trends;
  • Managing and updating the content of trackers, reports and systems used to collate information on legal and regulatory developments;
  • Promoting current awareness by disseminating relevant information to the Head of Knowledge, PSLs and fee earners and trainees;
  • Providing research support to fee earners, trainees, PSLs and clients;
  • Drafting and contributing content to alerts, updates, briefings, articles, memoranda, reports, know how and publications arising from research, monitoring current legal developments and horizon scanning;
  • Assisting in the design and delivery of legal research and resources training within the firm;
  • Assisting in the capture, collation, review, categorisation and indexing of know how for inclusion in the firm’s knowledge management system;
  • Assisting in the design, review, testing and implementation of knowledge management solutions, systems, tools and processes.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Have a primary degree in law and have developed excellent legal research skills, demonstrated by masters degree qualification or post-graduate experience working in a legal research role;
  • Be proficient in use of Irish, UK and EU online legal resources;
  • Have strong IT skills including MS Office 2010 (Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint);
  • Ideally, be experienced in use of Filesite / iManage, Sharepoint 2013 and / or knowledge management systems;
  • Have excellent oral and written communication skills;
  • Have very good presentation skills;
  • Display strong attention to detail;
  • Demonstrate a commercially aware and client focused approach;
  • Have the ability to prioritise and manage a busy workload;
  • Be a good team player, with the ability to self-motivate and work independently when required.
