Grad Programme L&D Lead

Our Client, a large legal firm based in Dublin City requires a Graduate Programme Learning and Development Lead to join their team. Reporting to the Director of Learning and Development, this role requires a candidate with design AND delivery experience. The L&D operation has the budget and staff it needs to deliver a best-in-class solution for staff in the early part of their career and will allow the successful candidate scope to evaluate existing practices and come up with fresh ideas. Salary: €55-60k

Duties:

  • Overseeing the graduate learning curriculum across the firm
  • Programme management including new programme of Advanced Electives and existing trainee KL&D programmes
  • Ongoing review of graduate L&D programmes (to ensure alignment, where relevant, with trainee development framework and strategy)
  • Conducting training needs analysis.
  • Designing learning modules and development of course outlines
  • Sourcing, selecting and managing suitable trainers, facilitators and external learning providers to support delivery of legal graduate L&D
  • Creating and developing innovative learning activities and course content to support delivery of legal graduate L&D
  • Developing new L&D programmes for early career joiners.
  • Coordinating and supporting trainers and facilitators and providing them with timely feedback
  • Presenting in person & virtually
  • Managing the logistics and administration of running programmes including booking/confirming venues and catering
  • Preparing course materials
  • Organising virtual classroom and video conferencing where applicable
  • Maintaining records on the LMS
  • Negotiating fees and monitoring budgets for graduate learning programmes
  • Evaluating graduate L&D programmes and assessing and responding to feedback
  • Providing feedback to the appropriate management groups on the collective and individual performance of participants on training courses

The Person:

  • Experience designing, developing and managing innovative L&D solutions that support staff and allow them to succeed throughout their career.
  • Good initiative and the ability to work cross functionally
  • 3+ years of Learning and Development experience with a desire to develop a career in L&D
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline advantageous
  • Experience of working across all aspects of L&D programmes, including design, vendor selection, budgets, logistics, reporting etc
