Facilities Manager

Our Client, a Large Professional Services Firm based in Dublin 2 requires an experienced Facilities professional with a background in strategic decision making to Manage their Property and Facilities team. This role will strategically manage building operations to include capacity management, third party vendors and day to day maintenance/support.


  • Strategic delivery of facilities operations across  the company in terms of mechanical and electrical services, legislative compliance, and contractor management;
  • Management of the facilities team;
  • Managing a range of vendors including mechanical and electrical, catering, cleaning, security, and waste vendors
  • Management of Reception, Client Reception, and Archiving services
  • Overseeing building management systems including BMS, HVAC, lighting, alarms and alarm monitoring systems and ensuring all background services in the building run effectively
  • Responding to out of hours calls for all facilities related issues
  • Responsibility for environmental management and statutory inspections
  • Acting as the Health and Safety Officer and ensuring health and safety compliance throughout the building. This includes carrying out risk assessments, running fire drills, maintenance of life safety systems and being an active member of the Health & Safety committee.
  • Space management and ergonomics, coordinating desk and office moves
  • Environmental projects, including energy reduction and waste reduction
  • Monitor and review SLAs of third party providers;
  • Auditing, compliance and communication of ISO 14001 Environmental Management System (EMS);
  • Procurement control, emergency planning and incident management;
  • Management reporting.


  • You have a strong track record in facilities management in a corporate environment
  • You are experienced in facilities related projects, with particular emphasis on office fit outs, office refurbishments, space planning and, complex office moves
  • You are an experienced vendor manager and someone who can build effective relationships
  • You enjoy people management
  • You are highly client focused, a polished communicator with a ‘can-do’ attitude
  • You can deal with a range of competing priorities and have highly developed stakeholder management skills
  • Very hands on, excellent administration, computer and, reporting skills
  • An understanding of all technical aspects of property (HVAC, Computer Room Air-conditioning, Chiller system, Fire Protection system, Mechanical & Electrical system, BMS system) would be an advantage.
