Technical Support & Customer Service Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated, ambitious ‘Technical Support & Customer Service’ professional to work with a long-established market-leading company. The role will involve providing technical sales support and customer service to a long-established customer base in Ireland & N. Ireland, liaising closely with the Sales, Design and Quality Control and New Product Development teams. The successful candidate will be centrally involved in improving and maintaining the customer service system and the company’s excellent reputation while the company expands in various markets.

Salary: to €40k

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the initial technical support queries from customers, installers and end-users
  • Provide excellent customer service to ensure customers are given the best available solutions
  • Managing product specification spreadsheets provided by the Design team and issuing them to architects and customers as requested
  • Working as part of a dynamic team, in particular with sales, service engineers, design and quality control departments
  • Manage Spare Part Sales: Ensure all spare parts are stocked, add required spares to the offering, increase sales of spare part’s
  • Managing the companies field service engineers; booking in their service calls, collecting data from their report forms and closing the query on the internal CRM system
  • When required; travel to solve aftersales queries with service engineers, assisting in the communication and documentation of problem and to convert the knowledge into product development with the design team
  • Compiling product feedback from end-users and installers for the internal design and QC team
  • Supporting regional sales rep’s to ensure customer service is kept at its highest level
  • Representing the business in a professional and positive manner at all times
  • Assisting Sales; Taking incoming sales calls or assisting sales reps on site visits when demonstrating products to architects or customers
  • Maintaining a positive attitude when faced with challenging circumstances like frustrated end-customers •
  • As career advances, when fully trained in the products; willingly assisting with mentoring, training and support of other members joining the team

 Successful Candidate will ideally:

  • Have Minimum of 4 years’ working experience of a similar role with proven customer service experience
  • Have Knowledge of plumbing, heating, bathroom and related products
  • Possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Have excellent telephone manner
  • Possess a high level of organisational skills and problem-solving ability
  • Possess excellent IT skills
  • Demonstrate excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Have proven team-working skills and the ability to see the “big picture”
  • Possess an ability to maintain focus, control and positivity under pressure
  • Have a full clean driving license
  • Be interested and willing to attend sales presentations, product demo’s or trade shows
  • Be willing to learn and have ambition to progress within the company and the wider group of companies into a senior management position
