Systems Accountant North Dublin

Our Client in North Dublin is looking to recruit a Systems Accountant. Reporting to the Associate Finance Director, the Systems Accountant is responsible for the Business Controls Function for GMS API Operations and External Manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities:

• As a Systems Accountant, you will provide financial control and support across the Company whilst ensuring the highest standards of stewardship and control are maintained.
• You will be responsible for anticipating, identifying, monitoring and managing control risks in addition to simplifying and standardising processes and reporting.
• The successful candidate will own the GOA/DOA system and will assist with all Corporate Policy and local Policy review and implementation.
• You will be the local representative of the Technical Accounting Network (TAN) whose focus is on financial reporting, regulatory and accounting updates and US GAAP queries.
• As a key member of the Ireland Finance team, you will support cross-departmental projects across the Company and implement financial projects within the Company.
• A key aspect of this role is the project Management of Sarbanes-Oxley 404 processes and requirements.  The successful candidate will drive ongoing execution and monitoring of internal controls over financial reporting; own and coordinate the 404 sub-certification process and report on control deficiencies as well as recommending remediation activities.
• In addition you will be responsible for coordination and close-out of company audits; both internal and external and the testing of internal controls.

The ideal candidate:

• will demonstrate a strong technical acumen with a minimum of five years experience in a finance role and will possess proven influencing skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written, are required for this role in addition
• to the ability to develop strong and effective working relationships with both internal and external business stakeholders.
• A knowledge of US GAAP is required for this role coupled with detailed understanding of SAP.
