Sales Office Manager

Our client, a leading manufacturer based in North Dublin is on the lookout for a Sales Office Manager. This role will be managing a growing team of internal sales and customer service rep’s and also supporting the field sales rep’s team. The role will be reporting to the company sales manager and company directors.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Managing daily sales enquiries from the customer base and develop new business with them.
  • Managing & processing sales orders (Phone, fax, email, EDI) to ensure they are accurately input to the Intact IQ ERP system and dispatched in a timely manner.
  • Supporting our field sales team to be an originator of new customers and take ownership in developing their own sales with them.
  • Supporting the sales team to research opportunities in the market and create sales leads through outreach in the form of calls, emails, social selling and networking.
  • Build rapport with our customer base to be a trusted, knowledgeable resource and discover their needs.
  • Achieve monthly sales targets
  • Dealing with sales queries in an efficient, accurate and professional manner.
  • Provide excellent customer service to ensure customer are always updated on solutions.
  • Ability to identify cause of customer query and rectify a solution.
  • Maintain a positive attitude when faced with challenging circumstances and changing business needs.
  • Be flexible and willing to get involved in other areas of the business as requested by management.
  • Managing all internal sales office staff to ensure that they are a well organised, motivated and disciplined team.


Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • Plumbing & heating trade qualification or work experience would be a help but not essential.
  • Sales management & training qualifications a bonus.
  • “Train the Trainer” Qualifications a bonus.
  • A degree in marketing/business administration/management. Alternatively possess a minimum 5-year demonstrable track record of sales office management within similar sized businesses.


Skills and Experience:

The successful candidate should be positive and outgoing with a confident disposition. They will need to be Pro-active and able to work without close supervision. They must be an active and flexible team player, contributing and developing solutions to common problems. They will need to be an excellent communicator both internally and externally in all mediums, with the ability to understand and summarise customers’ feedback into the system.

  • Be able to work on own initiative and encourage the team they are managing to do so.
  • Ability to (with a recent proven track record of managing previously) manage a busy sales office.
  • Possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent telephone manner, experience of running tele-sales offices and also ability to train and manage an effective inbound calls sales & customer service team.
  • Possess a high level of organisational skills and problem-solving ability.
  • Possess excellent IT skills.
  • Demonstrate excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to initiate new process improvements.
  • Have proven team-working skills and the ability to see the “big picture”.
  • Possess an ability to maintain focus, control and positivity under pressure.
  • Previous sales order processing experience are essential.
  • Previous management and team building experience is required.
  • Experience in developing new clients is essential as is the experience of expanding business with existing clients.
  • Ability to use, develop and manage day to day reporting is required.
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills to interpret sales performance and market trend information is essential.
  • Prior track record of achievement in positions with significant accountability.
  • Proven ability to motivate and lead the sales team.
