Maintenance Technician – North Dublin

Our Client, a Large Pharmaceutical Company based in North Dublin requires a Maintenance Technician for a role starting Immediately. This is a new role. The Maintenance Technician role will be an initial contract with a view to permanency

Salary: to €45k

Benefits: (after permanency): Overtime, Bonus, Pension, Health Plan, Increased holidays with years of service.

Successful candidates will have primary Technician responsibility for a number of site systems including coordination of inspections with the site approved insurance company, coordination of lift inspections both for insurance and service provider visits, fire protections and fire detection system weekly and monthly checks, and self-delivery of steam trap annual inspections. In addition to the above, you will be required to familiarise and cross train on all other facilities systems including but not limited to Steam, Compressors, Nitrogen, HQPW, HVAC, and Water plant on site. These systems include both GMP and Non-GMP systems.

As part of your job, you will be required to participate in the on-call rota which operates from Friday to Friday on a 3-week rotation basis.


  • Attending to breakdowns and raising of corrective maintenance tasks as appropriate for follow up works required.
  • On-Time completion of training assigned to you including on-line Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) training and class room training related to your Job Role and function.
  • Execution of maintenance procedures in line with site SOP’s and according to the MAXIMO CMMS schedule.
  • Attending to breakdowns and raising of corrective maintenance tasks as appropriate for follow up works required.
  • Support and assistance for the Operations and maintenance of Utilities Systems including High Quality
  • Purified Water (HQPW), Water Treatment, RO Systems, Boilers, Chillers, Air Compressors, HVAC system, Fire System, Refrigeration skids, BMS & Control Systems.
  • Active engagement in innovation and continuous improvement, identifying opportunities to improve processes and the business.
  • Working closely with the reliability team and the client, providing input and ideas to improve value-add for the service delivered.
  • Management of Vendors on site for the services delivered and area’s owned under the facilities service contract.
  • Liaise with Engineering and Vendors in order to improve the planned maintenance program executed on equipment
  • Permitting, method statements, risk assessments and scheduling in vendor visits to site in time with Maximo schedule plan.
  • Participation in regular and ongoing X-Training across all facilities systems.
  • Participation in the weekly planning meetings and safety tool box talks as necessary.
  • Adherence to all safety protocols. Raising any concerns in relation to safety immediately.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Multi discipline experience advantageous in mechanical and or electrical maintenance
  • Disciplined individual / Procedure adherence / Attention to detail / Accurate records
  • Knowledge of highly regulated industry, GMP Practices, ISO Quality, and or Environmental Standards.
  • IT Literate
  • Relevant Technical qualification or Equivalent Experience
  • Experience working in a Maintenance team for a large multinational company a PLUS
  • Experience in a Pharmaceutical /GMP Environment a Big PLUS
