IT Project Manager

Our Client, a large Law firm is looking for an IT Project Manager for a permanent role starting ASAP. The role will involve the role out of a new case management system, while maintaining an overview of business requirements throughout the year. The role will involve on-going contact with the Managing Partner and the relevant Steering Committee.

We are looking for someone  with Strong IT Project Management skills and experience working with recognised application \ service delivery processes

Duties:

Project Management

  • Definition of project scope, goals and deliverables with relevant stakeholders.
  • Creating project artefacts such as project plans, risk, and communication, planning and reporting.
  • Guiding business sponsors to select reasonable options based on time, budget and technology constraints.
  • Managing testing and delivery of all project products.
  • Manage the firm’s risk register and apply project management principles to projects in the order of priority agreed with the Managing Partner.
  • Manage and organize tools training for all the Firm’s staff.
  • Provide project management support to internal and external projects.

Requirements Analysis and Management

  • Analysis, design and development of the firms Matter Management System (SharePoint solution)
  • Performing gap analysis of existing systems, leading requirements gathering of a new solution.
  • Design and specification of customized workflows and electronic documents using process modelling
  • Requirements gathering and definition for enhancements, new functionalities, change requests.
  • Elicit, understand and clarify the requirements of the business stakeholders.
  • Work collaboratively as part of the Project Management Team to ensure proposed software developments meet business requirements.
  • Work with Lexcel Partner and Managing Partner to manage the relationship with the Business.
  • Interact extensively with business stakeholders to understand the business implications of business decisions.

Other Project Work

  • Provide support in relation to the continued rollout of Case Management in the firm, the priority for which will be set by the IT Steering Group.
  • To provide such other project and management support and assistance as required across the Firm.
  • Staff may be requested to carry out such reasonable tasks as may from time to time occur.
  • Provide project management and business analysis support in matters relating to interaction between the Firm and Clients.
  • Provide project management support to the internal projects as relates to reporting on and improvement of internal legal services processes and systems

Information Security

  • Support implementation of the Firms Information Security Management and comply with the Firms Information Security Statement
  • Adhere to data classifications and handling rules
  • Report Breach of Policy, Incident or Security Weakness
  • Comply with the ISMS-04 User’s Information Security Policy Statements

 

Essential Experience

  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in I.T. with at least 3 years as a Project Manager/ Business Analyst in a large corporate environment with multiple business applications.
  • Experience working with recognized application/service delivery processes and methodology.
  • Excellent communication skills with a ‘can-do’ attitude.
  • Excellent team player.

Desired skills and Experience:

  • Experience working as a Project Manager / Business Analyst for a legal Firm.
  • Experience working with flowcharting tools such as MS Visio.
  • Experience working with external vendors.
  • Experience working on the migration of data from one system to another.
