Our Client, a large Law Firm in Dublin is looking for a Financial Accountant for a permanent role. Working hours are Monday – Friday 9 am – 5.30 pm.

Salary: DOE

Reporting to the Head of Finance the Financial Accounts will be asked to do the following:

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparation of various MI reports – daily, weekly and monthly.
• Assist in production of monthly management accounts.
• Assist in the completion of the monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
• Completing the firm’s bank reconciliations.
• Assist in the areas of credit control and accounts payable as necessary.
• Preparation of monthly KPIs.
• Maintaining the firms accounting records in compliance with the Solicitors Accounts Regulations.
• Preparing variance analysis of actual costs versus budget and prior year.
• Preparing weekly and monthly cash flows and comparison with cash flow forecasts.
• Assist in the completion of the bi-monthly VAT return, P30 returns.
• To respond to various requests for financial information from the business units.
• Engage in the implementation of new accounting systems.
• Assist in the preparation of year-end audit files.
• Comply with all of the Firm’s risk management policies & procedures.
• To undertake ad hoc projects as required by the Head of Finance.

The candidate:

• Recently ACCA or ACA qualified with strong accounts preparation experience.
• Understanding of Solicitors Accounts Regulations preferred.
• Very strong excel skills.
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication/presentation skills.
• Ability to prioritise workload and resolve a number of conflicting demands.
