Or client in North County Dublin is seeking to recruit a Finance Analyst to join their Finance Team on a permanent basis. The Finance Analyst will report to the Financial Accountant – Tax.

Key responsibilities of the role will include:

• Preparing and submitting tax-related returns (both internal, for budget, actual and projection reporting, and external to the relevant fiscal agencies).
• Preparing account reconciliations and Government statistical returns.
• Liaising with internal business partners –as well as external advisors.
• Supporting the monthly and quarterly financial close process including the preparation of the tax provision, updating of Taxstream, reviewing and reporting on actual results focusing on comparison to budget / latest projection.
• Recording journal entries and performing balance sheet reconciliations/account validations and account analysis.
• Completing monthly, bi-monthly, quarterly and annual Taxation returns/filings.
• Coordinating with external advisors, accountants and fiscal reps to ensure all relevant data is provided to support timely taxation returns in all relevant jurisdictions.
• Completing statutory statistical returns (CSO, VIES and Intrastat) returns to comply with deadlines.
• Acting as back-up to the Financial Accountant – Tax.
• Liaising with customers and corporate groups in relation to the establishment, review and maintenance of customs valuations and transfer prices.
• Supporting internal and external audits.
• Driving continuous improvement and simplification in all areas of responsibility.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant and should have at least 2 years industry experience ideally in a fast-moving multi-national organisation, with specific experience in taxation matters. The successful role holder will be able to demonstrate excellent time management and organisational skills along with a proven ability to multi-task.
