Link Personnel are now looking to recruit a Cost Analyst!

Our Client, a large professional Services firm in Dublin 2, is now looking to recruit a Cost Analyst for a permanent position. The Cost Analyst will be reporting to the Financial Accountant.

This position would suite an individual keen to work in a high-growth professional services firm in a role concentrating on general finance with a strong emphasis on cost accounting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts for support entity including accruals, prepayments and intercompany journals.
• Preparation of monthly fixed asset register and depreciation posting.
• Assist in maintaining all aspects of intercompany accounting and reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with all accounting and fiscal technical and reporting requirements.
• Preparation of monthly analysis of consolidated costs versus budget and versus prior year for all support departments. Prepare support packs for heads of department. Follow up on specific questions or items of concern resulting from monthly review of support department costs. Attend quarterly meetings with financial accountant and support heads on cost review.
• Review of invoices to be posted by accounts payable.
• Assist financial accountant in co-ordination of year end audits.
• Assist financial accountant on ad-hoc queries from partners.
• Set up of new fee earners on the practice management system and maintain all fee earner budgets.
• Member of month end team running month end reports.
• Review headcount reports for accuracy and create monthly headcount movement analysis.
• Ad-hoc reports for partners on WIP and fees as required.
• Preparation of CSO returns.
• Ad hoc finance projects.

Additional duties as required.

Skills / Experience:

• Accounting technician qualification ideally with at least 2 years post qualification experience.
• Experience in cost analysis.
• Excellent understanding of Microsoft Excel / Word / Outlook.
• Excellent analytical / reconciliation skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Team player.
• Strong problem solving skills.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Strong planning and organisational skills.

Salary for this role is to €40k + Benefits.
