Link Personnel are now looking for an Accountant!

Our Client is a leading law firm in the heart of Dublin City Centre. They are currently looking for a newly qualified ACA Accountant or 1 year PQE with experience in cost analysis!
In this role you will be working as a member of the firm’s Finance team and reporting to the Financial Accountant. This is an opportunity to join a high-growth professional services firm in a role concentrating on general finance with a strong emphasis on cost accounting.

Salary: €40-50k

Key duties:

• Assisting in the preparation of monthly management accounts including accruals, prepayments and intercompany journals.
• Preparing monthly fixed asset register and depreciation posting.
• Assisting in maintaining all aspects of intercompany accounting and reconciliations.
• Conducting balance sheet reconciliations.
• Ensuring compliance with all accounting and fiscal technical and reporting requirements.
• Preparing monthly analysis of consolidated costs versus budget and versus prior year for all support departments.
• Preparing support packs for heads of department.
• Following up on specific questions or items of concern resulting from monthly cost review.
• Attending monthly/quarterly meetings with the financial accountant and support heads on cost review.
• Reviewing invoices to be posted by accounts payable.
• Assisting the financial accountant in the co-ordination of year end audits and on ad-hoc queries from partners.
• Setting up new fee earners on the practice management system and maintaining all fee earner budgets.
• Preparing and reviewing financial statements.
• Running month end reports.
• Reviewing headcount reports for accuracy and creating monthly headcount movement analysis.

The person:

• You are an ACA newly qualified accountant or 1 year PQE with experience in cost analysis.
• You display strong IT skills and have excellent analytical and reconciliation skills.
• You are a team player, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• You are a problem solver with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
• You display strong attention to detail, planning and organisational skills.
