Graduate Accounts Assistant – Cash Receipting and Accounts Payable

Our Client, a leading international law firm advising financial, institutional, business and private clients around the world requires an accountancy graduate with 1 year’s experience.

Salary: to €28k

Responsibilities
The Accounts Assistant (Cash Receipting and Accounts Payable) will provide comprehensive support to the Dublin office, reporting to the Financial Controller. The day-to-day responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

• Cash receipt postings.
• Client transfers.
• Daily interaction with partners/solicitors.
• Processing of invoices on Aderant system.
• Monthly and ad hoc payment runs.
• Disbursement posting.
• Cheque request processing from both the office and client account.
• Petty cash.
• Creditors reconciliations.
• Bank reconciliations.
• Responding to fee earners within a tight framework.
• Assisting with month end and other ad hoc projects as required.

Skills and Experience

• Relevant Accounting Degree or related field.
• Previous experience within a professional services firm.
• High competency in MS Office suite, particularly Excel and Word.
• Ability to use own initiative and be self-motivated.
• Strong commercial awareness.
• Disciplined work approach.
